Designing behaviour, not decoration
Interfaces that make complex systems easier to understand

Good interaction design makes system behaviour understandable. This becomes especially important when an interface is dealing with long-running operations, AI generation, changing data or multiple possible states.
I prototype flows and interaction states before implementation — from complete journeys to individual components moving through idle, loading, success, empty and error states. This gives product and engineering teams something concrete to evaluate while changes are still inexpensive.
In production, interaction becomes part of the system rather than an isolated animation layer. I use Framer Motion and GSAP where they improve understanding or feedback, with reduced-motion behaviour built into the experience.
